Led by Principal Advisor Dr. Rupak Sarma, our advisory practice operates at the intersection of law, finance, and strategy. We bridge the gap between complex legal disputes and institutional capital by providing independent legal financial risk assessment and strategic advisory to ultra high net worth individuals, institutional claim holders, corporate counsels and litigators. Combining expertise in business consulting, corporate and commercial law, and administrative law, we help clients evaluate litigation assets, quantify legal and commercial risk, and structure partial or full fees for high value meritorious disputes which could a single dispute and for portfolios of disputes, also known as portfolio funding.

Dr. Sarma is a member of Law Society of Alberta, Canada, who completed his doctorate at Queen's University Belfast, United Kingdom, where his research focused on Canadian third party litigation funding. He advises clients on the legal, ethical, and regulatory considerations surrounding litigation finance, helping them unlock the value of meritorious claims while managing cost and risk. He has presented his research to the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and leading law firms.

As part of his doctoral studies, Dr. Sarma also studied at the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta, where he served as a research assistant to former Dean Philip Bryden KC. His multidisciplinary background also has degrees in business management, international business management, and business process improvement, enabling him to provide commercially focused advice that integrates legal analysis with operational, strategic, and financial insight.
